2. CalRecycle (Home Page)

CalRecycle is the new home of California’s recycling, waste management and waste reduction efforts and agencies. CalRecycle is officially known as the Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery. CalRecycle administers programs formerly managed by the California Integrated Waste Management Board and oversees landfills.

South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCQMD) is the air pollution control agency for all of Orange County and the urban portions of Los Angeles, Riverside, and San Bernardino counties.

4. Los Angeles Regional Water Quality Control Board (LARWQCB)

The Los Angeles Regional Water Quality Control Board (LARWQCB) protects ground and surface water quality in the Los Angeles Region, including the coastal watersheds of Los Angeles and Ventura Counties, along with very small portions of Kern and Santa Barbara Counties.

The Los Angeles Regional Board is one of nine Regional Boards statewide. These Boards are part of the California Environmental Protection Agency (CAL/EPA), along with the Air Resources Board, the Department of Pesticide Regulation, the Department of Toxic Substance Control, the California Integrated Waste Management Board, and the Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment.

5. Sunshine Canyon Landfill Comunity Advisory Committee (CAC)

The Sunshine Canyon Landfill Community Advisory Committee (CAC) meets on the first Thursday of every other month (e.g., January, March, May, etc). The CAC has a web site and can be accessed using the link below:
